I am so bummed I didn't get a chance to truly experience Best Friend. We came here for a pit stop after a concert, but as soon as we stepped in and saw the menu, we knew we should have come here for dinner. I can't give it 5 stars because I didn't have the whole experience, but I will tell you that I enjoyed my time here, even if it was short. Since we came here after a concert on Saturday night, they were only taking first come, first serve in the bar area. We were here for a drink and a snack, so that wasn't an issue - there were two seats open at the bar. I personally love the concept of Best Friend - it's like a little bodega, filled with knick knacks and 'snacks' and 'things for sale.' The team really did the job of bringing you into their environment/story. Of course, the restaurant opens up to the main dining room in the back, but we didn't get a chance to see it because we sat out front. I loved the myriad of stickers on the bar - it was fun to pick out different things that looked familiar! (I bet it was so fun to decorate that bar, too!) While we were there, I opted for the lumpia as my snack - they were hot, tasty, fresh, greasy, and they gave you A LOT with your order. They went perfectly with the Hennessy and Cola slushie - and I loved that they were in reusable red solo cups. The menu itself looks fabulous, and if I ever go to Vegas again, I will be sure to actually eat here. Roy Choi can be my best friend anytime!

How many times I have passed by this restaurant in the Park MGM and always found it to be quite a silly name, I could not tell you. But my experience here was anything but silly. The staff was incredibly nice, and I wish I had remembered our servers name, but he was incredibly helpful and gave us a great recommendation. We ordered the garlic chicken, and wow, was the flavor incredible! The portion size was also nice, as it easily fed my mom and I. The seating area consisted of an area immediately by the casino floor as well as a section in the back area. We chose to sit in the front area where it was first come, first serve. The back section is for walk ups willing to wait or reservations. I tried to book a reservation, but it looks like you may need to make one at least a week in advance. I am so happy I have this place a try, and it very well will become a staple of my.next Vegas visit!

RESERVATIONS: Recommended! It gets pretty busy here it seems. However, there does seem to be availability for walk-ins. We made reservations for 8:45pm and was seated almost immediately. AMBIANCE: There is a front area (which I assume is mostly for walk-ins) and a small bar. The front area is reminiscent of a small store front, very unique! There is a check-in area for the restaurant and then a larger seating space inside. For dinner, lighting is pretty dim and there was a DJ playing music. The DJ was great! The mixing was amazing and there were jams the entire evening. FOOD: Lots of options for drinks on the menu. For food, there are a few key dishes. Complimentary bread is also served for the table. Here are the things we ordered... - Banchan Sampler ($18): Not worth it at all. It was six banchan dishes that were mediocre and bland. You can get better tasting Banchan at your usual Korean restaurant. Pass. - Charred Zucchini ($18): RECOMMEND! If you're looking for a veggie dish to pair with your meal, this one is solid. The sauce on this was tasty! The fried squash blossoms were ok, but the charred zucchini really soaked up the sauce and complemented the meal. - House Salad ($16): A good size salad! We really enjoyed the salad as our veggies to pair with our meal. Mix it up! The chili soy dressing had a kick! - Kimchi Carbonara ($24): RECOMMEND! This was SO tasty. It didn't have a strong kimchi flavor, but I didn't mind that. The sauce was creamy and flavorful - would get this again! - BBQ Platter ($69): Comes with garlic chicken, spicy pork, and kalbi trio. Garlic chicken was not dry and probably the best out of the three. Kalbi was pretty dry, so we were glad we didn't just order the $40 kalbi dish. The spicy pork wasn't all that spicy but did taste like kimchi. Not great but not bad. Good dish to share and try, though the garlic chicken was by far the fan favorite. - Strawberry Cheesecake ($13): Hit the spot for the group. The strawberry sorbet was refreshing! SERVICE: Server was attentive at the beginning and then disappeared. But then came back - wasn't too noticeable, but it was fine. The food came out really quick!

We had reservations for 7:30pm at Roy Choi's restaurant inside Park MGM! We checked in when we got there and got a text within 5 min telling us to come back and that our table is ready. The inside of the restaurant was quite a vibe! There was a live DJ. Fun ambience like you were transported somewhere else! Def a Vegas party vibe! Everything was served family style, portions were generous and they also gave us a free Hawaiian roll appetizer. We loved the elote street corn and was the first time trying it, kogi tacos and kimchi fried rice were very flavorful and delicious. I think we could've done without the kimchi and cucumber, but we were feeling happy and satisfied after! Server was attentive as well!

My biggest qualm with this place is how strict they are about reservation. For walk-ins, you can only sit in their outside area. And you have to put your cc down to hold your ressie. Food wise, I loved this place. The veg noodle, fries, wings, and orange creamsicle were all really good. If you're in the area, you should definitely eat here!

Wanna eat in a restaurant who has their own DJ laying down tracks all night? Yes please! Best Friend has been my most memorable and favorite meal in Vegas. The music was loud, the vibe was on point with hip hop playing all night. Drinks were flowing along with the delicious food being delivered by the best server who took care of us in her cool ass track suit. We had old fashioned's and slushies while eating crispy, delicate lumpia with a nice dipping sauce. The kimchi fried rice was flavorful, had a creaminess on top from the soft boiled egg, and served bibimbap style so the bottom had a crispiness to it. The street corn was tangy, salty, and delicious. The pickled daikon was spicy but I ate it all. The platters of sizzling ribeye and kalbi going around smelled delicious and we'll get that next time because there WILL be a next time. Best Friend will be on the regular rotation for our returns to Vegas.
